The Woman on the Rise Scholarship was created to support ambitious, purpose-driven women who are ready to elevate their futures.
We believe that when women are given the opportunity to grow, lead, and succeed, entire communities are transformed. This scholarship is more than financial support—it’s an investment in vision, resilience, and the power of rising above limitations.
Who Should Apply
The Woman on the Rise Scholarship is open to women who are committed to investing in their future through education and personal development.
Eligible applicants include those who are:
- Currently enrolled in or planning to attend a college or university
- Preparing to begin their educational journey after high school
- Enrolled in or pursuing a trade or vocational program
- Attending certification-based programs such as real estate, cosmetology, or other licensed professions
- Working toward any degree, certification, or credential that supports their career goals

Safe Harbor has partnered with DUAL Support, Inc. to provide essential domestic violence support services for victims. We also offer financial education resources and mental health resources to help individuals on their journey. Dress for Success New Orleans is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization that collaborates with over 50 New Orleans agencies to identify women who, with a hand up rather than a handout, can achieve employment and economic independence. This initiative also provides essential domestic violence support, financial education resources, and mental health resources, recognizing that it’s time to heal and empowering women through comprehensive women support.
The mission of Dress for Success is to help unemployed and underemployed women achieve economic independence by providing no-fee programs, financial education resources, and development tools, as well as professional attire that empower them to thrive in work and in life. Additionally, we recognize the importance of mental health resources and domestic violence support, ensuring that every woman has the time to heal and receive the women support she deserves.
